چکیده

This paper is devoted a problem of development of a mathematical model for description of heat and mass transfer processes at crown forest fire initiation and spread. Mathematical model of forest fire was based on an analysis of experimental data and using concept and methods from reactive media mechanics. This study gives a two dimensional averaged mathematical setting and method of numerical solution of a problem of a forest fire spread. The boundary-value problem is solved numerically using the method of splitting according to physical processes. It was based on numerical solution of two dimensional Reynolds equations for the description of turbulent flow taking into account for diffusion equations chemical components and equations of energy conservation for gaseous and condensed phases. In this context, a study mathematical modeling of the conditions of forest fire spreading that would make it possible to obtain a detailed picture of the change in the velocity, temperature and component concentration fields with time, and determine as well as the limiting conditions of forest fire propagation is of interest.. Key-Words: Mathematical model, forest fire, ignition, combustion, control volume, discrete analogue.

Numerical Solution of Crown Forest Fire Spread Around the Forest Glade

The forest fire spread through a pine forest has been numerically simulated using a three dimensional mathematical model. The mathematical setting of problem was obtained by integration of three dimensional systems of differential equations with respect to the vertical coordinate because horizontal sizes of forest are much greater than the heights of trees. In this paper the assignment and theo...

Mathematical Model Of Forest Fire Initiation And Spread

One of the objectives of these studies is the improvement of knowledge on the fundamental physical mechanisms that control the crown forest fire initiation and spread. Under specific conditions, a surface forest fire spreading through the ground cover is converted into a crown fire that moves through crown at a significantly greater rate than the surface fire, and hence is more dangerous ecolog...

Two-Dimensional Fire Spread Decomposition in Cellular DEVS Models

Wildfires and their associated destruction have highlighted the need for real-time simulation systems for accurately predicting fire spread. Such systems would assist fire managers in their efforts to effectively contain potentially catastrophic fires. Modeling and simulation of forest fire spread using the cellular discrete event approach is based on dividing the forest into small areas called...
